This week I finished out my 4th week of doing OU Nightly. I am in LOVE with it! The first two weeks of crew, I was on the liveshot team. Not going to lie, it was a little boring since there wasn’t any talent to film; however, I did learn a lot and met some new friends. Last week, I was on the JIB…also a little boring since I had to wait till the end of the show to move my camera for five seconds. I am still glad I got to learn how to do it, no matter how small the job was. This week, I was one of the two floor managers. This has been my favorite job so far! I loved getting to wear the headset and hear all the information that goes on behind the scenes while also watching the show live and in person. It was also fun counting down the anchors and telling them which camera to look at…kinda made me feel important. With that job, I learned what a rundown is and what it all means. The more I expose myself to the media world, the more I love it! I also have been working as a web producer on Fridays – posting on Instagram and Facebook, updating the website, using iNews. This was the first week we went live, so I had to set up Facebook Live. I was a little nervous about it because the process to set it up is very specific and I didn’t want to mess it up, but I got it working and commented back to people viewing. I can’t wait to get more involved with OU Nightly and learn even more every week!
