This week is a BIG week for me and the other girls in my pledge class…initiation week!! This Thursday, I will officially become a Delta Gamma and be a part of a sweet sisterhood forever and I could not be more excited! To kick off the week, we had the cutest picnic in the South Oval of campus. It was such a beautiful day outside that it was not too hot, but not too cold, and the sun was shining bright. Everyone came all dressed up in the cutest fall picnic outfits. When we arrived, there were three picnic tables decorated with blankets and pillows for us to sit on, as well as fresh pink flowers in vases. They brought us out a huge tray full of lots of yummy finger foods like bell peppers, cheese, nuts, crackers, and fruit. We also got sparkling water to drink. It was the cutest little setup, and was so thoughtful for the upperclassmen to put it together for us. After we ate up almost the entire tray, we took the cutest pictures showing off our outfits. I wore a burnt-orange velvet slip dress with a white long-sleeve shirt underneath. I finally got to whip out my pink Doc Martin boots, which everyone loved. It was such a sweet time that I got to spend with my soon to be official sisters. Cannot wait to be a real DG!!!
