One of my favorite clubs that I am involved in at OU is the Gaylord Dean’s Leadership Class. I was lucky to have been selected to be in the class, because only select students get to be a part of it. We get to meet in the Gaylord Auditorium every other Wednesday where we get to hear from a speaker that the college brought in to let us listen to. It has provided me with lots of opportunities already, and I have gotten to meet many incredible people in the journalism world. I am quite literally obsessed with my field of choice, journalism. I love so many aspects about it and the media world, so being in the Dean’s Leadership Class for my college is very special to me, and am so thankful that I get the chance to greater my future in DLC. I also get to connect with other Gaylord students who have similar interests as me, which has been very helpful and love making connections. One of the biggest perks of being in the Dean’s Leadership Class, is the special honor we get with having our giant picture hung in the Gaylord Hallway. Gaylord College has been one of the only constants in my life in college, I have always been able to rely on the students and staff there, and it is something that I am truly passionate about, so it means a lot to be hung on the walls so that I am there all day, every day.
