This past week has been a rollercoaster of emotions for Norman – so many crazy things happening all at once. It all started with OU unfortunately losing to OSU in Bedlam. As being the better team, it was quite an embarrassing loss. To make things even worse, our head football coach, Lincoln Riley, decided to leave to go to be the head coach for USC football! What a traitor! Snake🐍! Cupcake🧁! This whole betrayal thing is not foreign to Oklahoma though. We had the same feeling when Kevin Durnat left the Thunder to play for Golden State! Why do they keep leaving for California? How rude! Anyways, it was also a rough time in Norman this weekend when there was a shooter on Campus Corner. This is very unusual for OU because it is a very safe campus, and nothing crazy really happens here, so this was a fright. Luckily everyone was okay, and no one got hurt. Amidst the craziness, everyone has been trying to uncover who the new head football coach was. Many rumors arose and many people did deep investive work to figure it out.
Things started to look up in the week when former head football coach, Bob Stoops, became the interim head coach for the upcoming bowl game. Everyone was very happy about this news, as Stoops was very good to Sooner Nation.
By the end of the week, spirits were back high because the new head coach has been named, and everyone is very excited about it: Brent Venables. Venables was a former OU assistant coach way back when, and was previously an assistant coach for Clemson.
The past week, OU has been lots of crap, however, things are looking up in Norman, and we are better than ever! BOOMER!
