Dead week was very much, not a dead week. In fact, it was more of an alive week, for me! I still had to go to my classes and was busy studying all week long. I studied in various places: my room, Gaylord, the Biz, and Delta Gamma. I kept getting bored and wanting to change locations in order to refocus. Oddly enough, I studied the most when I went to study with a group of my friends. My favorite place to study is in Gaylord, on the second floor, in the Learning Lab. The environment there is perfect – vibey music, comfortable seating, medium sound level, visually soothing, and best location. Most importantly, it’s never too busy and the wifi works great. For the first time this semester I went to the Biz to study. I forgot how nice it was there, and was impressed all over again! However, the Biz is usually always busy and is farther away from my dorm. Also, I prefer natural lighting better, which the Biz does not always have.
On Friday, Caleigh was in Norman because she finished all of her finals. Becca and I met up with her to eat breakfast and then show her around our rooms and specific colleges. Of course, I gave her and Becca a wonderful tour of my favorite place, the Gaylord. Both were very impressed, to say the least. Caleigh even admitted how she now understands why I always brag and talk about the Gaylord all the time, and kind of wishes she was a part of it too. It was fun to take my long-time friend, who used to be in my life every day, into my new college life.
