Individual Submission Guidelines
Short Fiction
We cap prose and poetry submissions to four per student. Our word limit is a soft 2,500 words—but we won’t read anything over 3,000. We recommend submissions be in standard manuscript format. Submit as a Word or Google Doc. No PDFs, please. Excerpts are welcome. Stand-alone excerpted work only; the excerpt should function as a story on its own without the context of the complete work. Submit each piece of short fiction as a separate document.
Poetry
We cap prose and poetry to four submissions per student. Submit as a Word or Google Doc. No PDFs, please. Submit each poem as a separate document.
Visual Arts
We cap visual submissions to five per student. Submit as a .jpg, .jpeg, .pdf., or .png that is at least 300 ppi at an 8″x 10″ size. Please include the titles of your work in the body of your email.
