Throughout generations of generations, one of the biggest questions about The American Dream is how to obtain it. I would think the way to obtain it would have changed over the years as society evolves and inflation. However, it has been said that it is based on a set of principles and keeping a firm mindset.

The American Dream has caught the eye of many and how easily obtainable it is. They say to acquire the dream, you have to work hard, make sacrifices, and a lot of risks must be taken. To get through all of that, you must persevere. But what kind of risks and sacrifices must be made in order to obtain this supposed dream? Personally, I know people that gambled their money away as a risk to achieve it. I also know a few people that left their families in order to give them a better chance at life or to give them The American Dream. Sometimes it can have a devastating outcome too. That by itself is hard work, but it is also only the beginning of hard work.

Depending on the person, hard work looks different. Sometimes it is working multiple jobs or working multiple jobs while also attending school or even investing money somewhere. Sort of the same principles as it was generations ago, only it is harder and more of a challenge to do any of those things. The American Dream is possible, but it is nearly impossible to obtain it without the right headstart.
