Start Of My Blogging Journey

Hello, I am Zoey Fraser. My current major is Early Childhood Education, and I am from Metropolis, Illinois (the very bottom tip of Illinois, about six hours from Chicago). I absolutely love animals. I have one dog and two cats of my own but would definitely own more if I had enough financial leeway to do so. My dog’s name is Jolee, she’s the sweetest baby, but also so beyond smart. Then, there is Maverick who is my big chunky boy who will eat any food you give him. Lastly, Blu, my sweet boy that will in fact give you a hug if he is comfortable with you (and yes, this does include the vet and vet tech, he is definitely a ladies’ man).

My blogging identity could be about my chosen major and why I chose it (Early Childhood Education). Although, I can also talk about why I am at OU in the first place. Both can be tied together in a great way. I believe that I could write a lot more about the reasoning behind attending OU in the first place over only speaking about my major. If I talk about why I am attending OU in the first place, I can tie both the story of attending OU and why I chose my major together as both can go hand in hand.

Hi Zoey! I’m going to play the role of “student feedback” for you here, because I miscounted in class and you don’t have a partner for today’s exercise.

Blogging with a focus on early childhood ed should work really well! You won’t necessarily need to tell the full story of how you got here right away–you could also get to parts of that story when you have experiences going this semester that remind you, or evoke, moments from the past. (You also don’t have to be personal when you don’t want to: part of blogging is to respond to other writers, conversations & questions you care about…)

I was thinking that at first, I can talk about Early Childhood Ed and why I chose it in the first place. Then, I can go on to tell other stories of the adventure as needed.
