As you already know, I am majoring in Early Childhood Education and after graduation, plan to become a kindergarten teacher here in Oklahoma. Obviously, as time continues, the plans for my future can change. Although, through my journey here at OU thus far, the only thing that has changed is how excited I am to become a teacher.
So far, I have only been doing my general education classes along with one class that is called GET Learning that is about the structure of education / becoming an educator. Although I have only taken part in one class about teaching thus far, knowing that I am one step closer to becoming a kindergarten teacher is accelerating.
Here’s one of my kiddos that I watch / teach at church back home in Illinois. His name is Raylan, and he is one of the happiest little boys that I know. Raylan and many other kiddos at my church are another reason for my growth of excitement to teach. The kiddos inspire me to keep going because of how happy and excited they are to learn.
