The Human Value Project
Name: “Humanity” – turned into HumanA.I.t
Founded in 2020 by Professors J. Worley and L. Barnum, the Human Value Project aims to highlight human sustainability during the transitioning years of Artificial Intelligence (AI) advancement in all sectors of society.
Mission Statement:
To promote ongoing awareness of human sustainability, productively, value
and dignity within the workplace and society during rapid technological changes created by advances in Artificial Intelligence. The HVP aims to give “voice” to the “lay person” be it an individual man, woman, or child, regardless of race or ethnicity whose lives will be directly and indirectly impacted and who will experience ongoing changes in the nature of life and definition of human productivity and even human consciousness. While The HVP does acknowledge that technological advances have been inherent in human development and growth over the course of recorded human history and that A.I has enabled an acceleration of advances in multiple areas that have been beneficial, the HVP seeks to create consciousness concerning the ethical and philosophical concerns that A.I also raises in part due to the implications of an intelligence that is exponentially more intelligent than the human mind.
