Blog Post 1 – About Me

Hello. My name is Miles Whisenant and I am from Kansas. I am a freshman at OU studying finance, which might change sometime soon or later. This topic of blogging for an english class is not entirely new to me. In one of the english classes I had in high school, our teacher required the class to dedicate the first five minutes of class to writing a daily journal, where each day the students are given a prompt and should respond to it. It had no restrictions, except for instructions to write as much as you can in the given time frame and think creatively. There were some days where this felt like a chore, especially when I did not find the prompt interesting, but some days I found the prompt to be engaging and interesting. I am not looking to make my “blogging identity” something fancy or anything poetic, simply my thoughts from day to day. I also am not sure what exactly entails a blogging identity.
