Hi, my name is Noah Bruns. I was born and raised in Tulsa Oklahoma, and now, after graduating from Bishop Kelley High School, I am a Professional Writing major at the Gaylord college of journalism. This is gonna be my Web Log for anything and everything I need/want to. Whether it’s for G2GPT or rambling about something that I just think is pretty nifty, I’ll probably write about it. What falls under my definition of “pretty nifty”, you may ask? Well, you will probably see me write about video games, movies, tv, the odd historical event, music, and maybe even a piece of creative writing if I feel like it, along with some things relating to Generative AI. While I will try to be fair towards Generative AI, as a creative whose future career might be in jeopardy because of GenAI, most of my opinions are going to be negative.

I think that you have an interesting idea for your blog. I like how you are talking about using historical, present, and future events in your blog. I also find your opinions on Generative AI interesting. For me, I don’t think that AI is all that important, as it most likely won’t have any impact on my future job, or at least any negative impact.
I share an overall negative outlook on GenAI like you do, but I do not believe your career is in danger, rather your career field will be transformed by AI.
Noah, writing as a “creative”–this is a way younger folks talk about media careers that I understand intellectually, but don’t quite GET on a gut level. But never mind that! You want to write about creative media, as what used to be called a “critic? (As well as making your own) You could pick a medium to focus on, or pick an artist whose career you follow, or pick a genre….there are many possibilities! And you might decide that the impact of generative AI won’t fall in the same way everywhere (eg, compare graphic design to romance fiction to lyric poetry…..)–which might also help you focus your project.
