Internship Project

Internship in Education EIPT: 5920

This instructional plan consists of a detailed survey designed through Microsoft Excel to know about the status of the coding devices and how skillful the teachers were in using those devices at elementary level.

Abstract

This study aims at promoting online literacy skills and Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPCK) among College Teacher Interns/Interns through Problem-based Learning environment. Two iterations of design-based research were conducted for this research. Six CTIs/Interns from the same college participated in Iteration 1. In the 2nd Iteration, six other participants from the same institution participated in the research except one who is not teaching currently. The data sources were online class meetings, pre- and post-interviews, online discussions, post survey, checklist, participants’ artifacts, feedback of the Subject Matter Expert and the Instructor, and recordings of the sessions. Google Classroom as a Learning Management System was used for the instructional platform for this research. The present study suggests that training CTIs/Interns about TPCK and LMS is important to counter online teaching and learning problems. Problem-based Learning is one of the effective ways that, with the support of collaborative technological tools, can help CTIs/Interns design their online instructions effectively.

Two iterations were conducted. Design and Implementation for both the iterations is also attached. Please click the links to access the documents.

Deficit Ideology

EIPT: 6523

This project was designed to practice videography for the course named Visual Literacy in Spring 2022. It was a group task. Several clips were taken and final compilation was supposed to be done individually. I used Adobe Premiere for this experiment. The topic we chose was deficit ideology. This platform gave us the opportunity to highlight the false beliefs of different people due to which students suffer at several stages of their lives.

Background Change

EIPT:6523

With the help of Adobe Photoshop I changed the background of different images for Visual Literacy course. Original pictures are also given in the pdf attachment here.

Color Wheel

EIPT:6523

Another Visual Literacy project represents the color wheel. I designed the petals via Adobe Photoshop to show the types of colors.

Instructional Design 1: EIPT 6143

Final Project

This project was designed in the Fall semester, 2021 for EIPT: 6143 course named Instructional Design 1. The purpose of this design was to train the new teachers about classroom management skills especially, lesson planning skills, motivational skills, and problem-solving skills for their learning environments. One module out of these three was selected for Specific instructional plan and that was about training the new teachers about problem-solving skills. Merrill’s First Principles of Instruction were followed to design the instructions. Please click the link to access it.

Using SketchUp for 3D Modeling in an Open Learning Environment

EIPT:6343

This design focuses on the importance of Open Learning environments to help students have interactive, organized, metacognitive and realistic learning experience. Collectively, student-centered, open learning environments provide contexts wherein the individual determines learning goals, learning means, or both the learning goals and means. The individual may also establish and pursue individual learning goals with few or no external boundaries as typical during spontaneous, self-initiated learning from the Web (Hannafin et al., 2014). This design will be produced to inculcate modern technology named 3D modeling in an Open Learning environment where students will have the autonomy to recognize their problems and find solutions. According to Gregory et al (2016), three-dimensional (3D) immersive virtual worlds have been touted as being capable of facilitating highly interactive, engaging, multimodal learning experiences. Students will explore the world of 3D modeling for their Visual Arts class with the help of the widely known tool, SketchUp.
