Man of Steel

Superman has been a cultural icon and the symbol of super heros for generations. His debut was in the 1938 first issue of Action Comics when Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster introduced this icon. This hero has been in several movies, unlimited comic books, several television series, and much more. Superman possesses the power of flight, super speed, super strength, x-ray vision, freeze breath, laser eyes, and is invulnerable to anything. His power derives from the sun and his only weakness is when introduced to a rare rock from his home planet of Krypton called Kryptonite. His doppelgänger comes in the form of his secret identity: Clark Kent. Kent is just a normal citizen that works as a journalist for the Daily Planet. Superman is his alter ego and he is able to switch between normal street clothes to his super suit in an instant. He conceals his double with glasses and normal clothes in order to prevent from being recognized. He keeps his heroic life a mystery to the public in order to live out a normal human life as he has normal feelings and processes emotion similar to us. He humanizes during normal hours, when he isn’t off fighting evil and crime, by working his job consistently and remains close with love interest, Lois Lane. Although Lois is aware of his true identity, she is one of the only ones other than Kent’s parents. They also keep this hidden for their own protection and for the protection of Superman. This is why it is especially risky for Clark to be working at the same place as Lois and also dating her.
