Applicants with complete applications will be emailed on their admission status and directed to submit their nonrefundable $500 deposit, which guarantees their spot in the program. Participants are capped to accommodate program logistics. The online application includes things to read, sign, and complete. You will need to answer these short questions as part of the application:

  1. In a brief essay, please explain why have you applied to this specific study abroad program?
  2. In a brief essay, list 2-3 goals you’ve set for your study abroad experience and how will you accomplish them?
  3. In a brief essay, list 2-3 challenges you expect to face abroad and how will you overcome them?

  5. Do you have any additional skills relevant to the project? (e.g., photography, drawing, spoken Italian, orienteering)?
  6. Do you have any concerns about the physical conditions of the project’s working environment?  The fieldwork portion of the class will involve manual labor outdoors in a variety of weather conditions including high heat and humidity. If you have a disability and think you need an ADA accommodation, by March 28 submit this application AND contact the Accessibility and Disability Resource Center at adrc@ou.edu about your interest in enrolling in CL C 3990. The ADRC will work with you and the instructor to identify potential reasonable accommodations. You are under no obligation to disclose any health information in this application, but if you would like to share anything the instructors should be aware of, please include it at the end of your application.
