Gatsby – Bullfrog: Bullfrogs are loud, and so are Gatsby’s parties, and they both serve the purpose of attracting a “mate”. (Note from my friend that I thought was really funny and wanted to include: “Gatsby’s mating call just so happens to be throwing ragers.”) Frogs are also hard to spot in their environment, which reminds me of Gatsby slipping into the backgrounds of his parties.

Nick – Platypus: He’s the odd one out in this group of animals. He is also very adaptable, easily inserting himself into higher society somewhat, which is fitting for a platypus being semi-aquatic. It’s also a bizarre animal that doesn’t really fit in a single category, which I feel works for Nick as while he can insert himself just about anywhere he doesn’t really do so deeply.

Daisy – Bird: Like, a songbird in a pretty cage. Her life centers around performing in order to continue with her cushy lifestyle, even though it represses her actual freedom.

George – Mouse: I have no strong thoughts on George. He’s easily cast aside and put underfoot, and he’s a bit meek. So, mouse.

Myrtle – Sheep: She’s a follower (of trends, of lifestyle!) Though not of George, who would be a much smaller animal.

Jordan – Greyhound: Very athletic, but held back by the expectations of society and her station constantly. She does not take action unless beckoned.

Athletic! But nonetheless “trained” and comfortable with it. (With regards to understanding how society works and playing it to her advantage.)

Tom – Wolfdog: He projects himself as some sort of superior animal (think, like, the power of a wolf!) when in actuality his prowess only comes from his wealth and no qualities he actually has (only a dog.). Also, he would be a predatory animal because of how he abuses his role in the world.
